Pilates improves the mobility and stability patterns in the body and creates a solid base on which to build fitness.  For that reason, Pilates is safe for all ages and all levels of fitness.  When the stabilizers of the core are working properly, the body can have freedom to move with greater ease and in balance. In other words, the core muscles  stabilize one segment to create mobility in another segment.  All of the Pilates exercises incorporate proper breathing.  Also, equipment  provides gentle support or adds challenge to increase the difficulty of an exercise.

The first visit will include an evaluation of posture and the FMS movement screen.  For golfers, a TPI screen will also be included.  The screens determine imbalances and asymmetries.  A fitness program is then tailored for you.  Your sessions will often include a mix of corrective exercises from FMS, Redcord Active strength and conditioning exercises from TPI, as well as Pilates.
